Joobin Bekhrad is a writer and editor*.
In addition to editing Reorient, an acclaimed arts review he founded in 2012, Bekhrad has written for such publications as The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, The Financial Times, The Economist, The Telegraph, Forbes, CNN, the BBC, GQ, and The Times Literary Supplement, been interviewed by ones like Newsweek, PRI, Monocle, The Art Newspaper, and the CBC, and seen his articles republished in a wide variety of languages.

Throughout his adventures in journalism, Bekhrad has interviewed Ronnie Wood, John Malkovich, Paul Smith, Zandra Rhodes, Dries Van Noten, Kenzo Takada, Isabel Marant, Anna Sui, Johnny Marr, Salma Hayek, John Varvatos, and Terry O’Neill, amongst many other luminaries.
His articles aside, Bekhrad is the author of ten volumes of poetry, a translation of a classic of medieval Persian verse, a novella, a novel, and a collection of stories. He is also the recipient of an International Award for Art Criticism from London’s Royal College of Art and holds degrees from Columbia University, City, University of London, and York University.
